Katy Helbacka is an award-winning theater director, actor, improviser, writer and producer with over two decades of experience creating entertainment for all ages. She holds a BFA in theater from the University of MN Duluth and trained at Chicago’s Improv Olympics. A skilled educator, she spent several years teaching global arts and culture on Chicago’s north side, before moving to Minnesota and becoming the Artistic Director of Renegade Theater Company. During her decade-long tenure, she produced over 70 productions, collaborating with artists from Minneapolis, Chicago and New York.

Andy has a a BFA in Acting from the University of Minnesota Duluth an an MFA in Creative Writing from the NYU Writer’s Workshop in Paris. He was a member of The Loft Literary Mentorship Series in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and is the recipient of an ARAC/McKnight Artist Fellowship Grant, a Minnesota State Arts Board Artist Initiative Grant, and a participation trophy from his sixth-grade spelling bee. He is the co-founder and co-creator of Solve Entertainment, an immersive and interactive escape room company in Duluth, MN. When not writing novels, he works in the cybersecurity industry.
